1. Special-shaped parts

Special-shaped parts are parts with irregular shapes, most of which need multi-station mixed processing of point, line and surface. The rigidity of special-shaped parts is generally poor, the clamping deformation is difficult to control, and the machining accuracy is difficult to guarantee, and even some machining parts of some parts are difficult to complete with ordinary machine tools. When processing with a machining center, reasonable technological measures should be adopted, one or two clamping, and the characteristics of multi-station point, line and surface mixing processing of the machining center should be used to complete multiple processes or all process contents.


2. Disc, sleeve, plate parts

With keyway, or radial hole, or end face with distributed hole system , curved disk sleeves or shaft parts, such as flanged sleeves, shaft parts with keyways or square heads, etc., as well as plate parts with more holes, such as various motor covers, etc. Vertical machining centers should be selected for disc parts with distributed holes and curved surfaces on the end faces, and horizontal machining centers with radial holes.


3. Special machining

After mastering the functions of the machining center, use the machining center with certain tooling and special tools It can complete some special process work, such as lettering, engraving, and engraving on the metal surface; install a high-frequency EDM power supply on the main shaft of the machining center, which can perform line scanning surface quenching on the metal surface; use the machining center to install high-speed The grinding head can realize the grinding of small modulus involute bevel gears and the grinding of various curves and surfaces.


4. Box-type parts

Box-type parts generally refer to having more than one hole system and a cavity inside. Parts with a certain proportion of length, width and height. Such parts are widely used in machine tool, automobile, aircraft manufacturing and other industries. Box-type parts generally require multi-station hole system and plane processing, and the tolerance requirements are relatively high, especially the shape and position tolerance requirements are relatively strict, usually through milling, drilling, expanding, boring, reaming, countersinking, tapping and other processes , requires more tools, it is difficult to process on ordinary machine tools, the number of tooling sets is high, the cost is high, the processing cycle is long, multiple clamping and alignment are required, the number of manual measurements is large, the tools must be replaced frequently during processing, and the process is difficult to formulate , and more importantly, the accuracy is difficult to guarantee. For machining centers that process box-type parts, when there are many machining stations, the parts that require multiple rotation angles of the worktable are generally selected for horizontal boring and milling machining centers. When there are few processing stations and the span is not large, a vertical machining center can be selected to process from one end.

5. Complex surfaces

Complex surfaces occupy a special and important position in the machinery manufacturing industry, especially the aerospace industry. It is difficult or even impossible to complete complex surfaces by ordinary machining methods. In my country, the traditional method is to use precision casting, and it is conceivable that its precision is low. Complex surface parts such as: various impellers, wind guide wheels, spherical surfaces, various surface forming dies, propellers and propellers of underwater vehicles, and some other shapes of free-form surfaces. ①Cam, cam mechanism

As the basic element of mechanical information storage and transmission, it is widely used in various automatic machines. The parts include disc cams with various curves, cylindrical cams, conical cams, barrel cams, end cams, etc. Machining such parts can choose three-axis, four-axis linkage or five-axis linkage machining center according to the complexity of the cam; The compressor of the engine, the expander of the oxygen production equipment, the single-screw air compressor, etc., for such a profile, a machining center with more than four axes can be used to complete it;

③Molds

Such as injection molds, rubber molds, vacuum forming plastic molds, refrigerator foam molds, pressure casting molds, precision casting molds, etc. The machining center is used to process molds. Due to the high concentration of processes, the finishing of key parts such as movable molds and static molds is basically completed in one installation, which can reduce the cumulative error of dimensions and reduce the workload of repairing. At the same time, the mold has strong reproducibility and good interchangeability. ④spherical

It can be milled by machining center. Three-axis milling can only be approximated with a ball-end milling cutter, which is inefficient. Five-axis milling can use an end mill as an envelope surface to approximate the spherical surface. When the complex surface is processed by the machining center, the programming workload is large, and most of them must have automatic programming technology.
