Six steps of CNC machining you don't know
When it comes to cnc processing, there must be reasonable processing methods and processing steps, because these processes directly affect the processing quality, production efficiency and processing costs of cnc-machined parts. Therefore, we have to do the following six steps reasonably about CNC machining:
Step 1: Rough first and then fine
For example , in the order of rough turning - semi-finishing - fine turning, and gradually improve the machining accuracy. Rough turning will remove most of the machining allowance on the surface of the workpiece (indicated in the stippled line shown in Figure 2-4) in a relatively short period of time. In this way, on the one hand, the metal removal rate is improved, and on the other hand, it satisfies the requirement of allowance uniformity for finishing. If the uniformity of the allowance left after rough turning cannot meet the requirements of finishing, semi-finishing should be arranged to prepare for finishing. To ensure the machining accuracy in the finishing process, the outline of the part should be cut out according to the size of the drawing; In order to shorten the moving distance of the tool and reduce the idle travel time, the modern part away from the tool setting point is processed first, and the part away from the tool setting point element is processed later. For turning, it is beneficial to maintain the rigidity of the blank or semi-finished product and improve the cutting conditions; p>
For parts that need to be machined both the inner surface (inner cavity) and the outer surface, when arranging the machining sequence, the inner and outer surfaces should be roughed first, and then the inner and outer surfaces should be finished. Do not machine other surfaces (inner or outer) after machining part of the upper surface (outer or inner) of the part.
Step 4: The base surface first principle
The surface used as the fine reference should be processed first. This is because the more precise the surface of the positioning datum, the smaller the clamping error. For example, when machining shaft parts, the center hole is usually machined first, and then the outer surface and the end surface are machined with the center hole as the fine reference;
Step 5: First The principle of primary and secondary
The main working surface and assembly base surface of the part should be processed first, so as to find out the possible defects on the main surface of the blank as soon as possible. The secondary surface can be interspersed and placed after the main surface is processed to a certain extent and before the final finishing;
Step 6: The principle of face first
The size of the plane outline of the box and bracket parts is relatively large. Generally, the plane is processed first, and then the holes and other dimensions are processed. In this way, the machining sequence is arranged, on the one hand, the machined plane is used for positioning, which is stable and reliable; partial.
Collect and pay attention to the above CNC processing steps, so as to improve the quality of CNC processing, improve production efficiency and reduce processing costs.
